Pours a reddish brown with a little bit of tan head. Smells like prunes, molasses, alcohol.
Tastes like a Belgian quad, but not quite up there with the big boys. Has some burn, plums, molasses, a little banana and clove. A little thin so I docked it on the feel. I found this across the street from my great aunts house in Bogota and a pleasant surprise to find it here, cheers!

L- Deep chestnut, clear/minor sludge left in bottle. Pours with 1Cm fine pale tan head. At +10mins post-pour holds at 3mm and lacing forming/drying down sides of glass.
S- I just get a mild sense of deep richness - subtle.
T- Pungent and deep, mollasses malts, a brief liquor-ish ABV% brush across the palate.
F- Deep and rich, puddingy, this is well into the deep winter-warmer sector.
O- For me I imagine this as the sub-style to sit back by a winter log fire and slow-sip after dinner. It's too heavy/complex to not take time with. The style suits colder months much better for me. Very nice, would happily biu again

Light brown color with a thick beige head with good retention.
Aroma with notes of molasses, orange marmalade and plums.
Flavor with notes of cloves, candi sugar, orange marmalade, cinnamon, prunes and toasted malts. Dry aftertaste with a mild bitterness.
Bordering medium body with appropriate carbonation. No way you can tell this is 9% abv.
Easy to drink Belgian Dark Strong Ale with no intensity in any style characteristic, on the other hand it felt less complex than average for the style.

Pours a hazy dark brown color with a red glove. Gives a medium top of creamy beige head that dissolves slowly and gives some decent lacings.
The aroma is moderate with notes of dark malt, bread, caramel ,chocolate, dark fruits like plums and raisins, spices and brown sugar.
The taste is sweet with notes of dark fruits with dark malts heavy in the background that gives a feel of dark bread and caramel. The finish has a slight bitterness to it with the malts still in the back. Decent lenght on the aftertaste as well, but I feel the flavour in the whole is a little weak and could have been stronger. The alcohol is masked very good in the flavour. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with a medium carbonation and a medium body. This a good and tasty quad, but it lacks a little to be a top quadruple. Beside from that I would have no problem drink it again

Best before 07/02/20, 750ml bottle.

It pours a reddish brown with a huge head of foam, plenty of lacing.

Smells fruity, caramel malt, spicy with pepper and light cloves.

Taste is of bananas, cloves, semi sweet to lightly tart fruit. Candi sugar sweetness rounds things out.

Medium body with lightish carbonation. Drinks somewhat stronger than the abv.

Good.

Phenolic with banana and bubblegum, yada yada, then there's this weird rubbery quality and ashtrays. At this stage it could go either way. A bit grassy and some rhubarb crumble in there. Hmm, I've decided it's a quality brew, up there with some of the Trappist Quads, which are overrated anyhow. Cracked it, imagine a Trappist Quad mixed with Leffe Blonde, that's the result. Lighter tasting than your average quad, with more tang and pazazz. Alright but not one to tell the grandchildren about.

Hammered.
