The sunny, golden color hints that this is a classic IPA. The robust, citrusy hop aroma leaps out of the glass. The assertive hop bitterness grabs your attention. The crisp, clean finish brings a satisfied smile. Hop Heads of The World Unite… in Lemont.

Happy Valley Brewing Co. “Barnstormer “
$6/pint on tap at the brewery on 14 August 2022
Look: Hazy orange colored body beneath a short head of white foam. Very good head retention and lacing.
Smell: Fruity with orange, grapefruit, and berries. Lightly floral as well.
Taste: A firm, bready malt base supports the hoppy notes. It’s resinous, floral, citrusy, and berry-like. A solid bitterness balances it, and along with some hop burn it finishes dry with some lingering spicy resins and citrus.
Feel: Medium bodied and crisp.
Overall: A well done juciy and "dank" hazy IPA.

One of the better offers at Happy Valley Brewery but nothing really standout in my mind...decent hazy with some nose and typical flavor but stands in shadow of most crafty hazys.

A perfectly fine if somewhat anonymous IPA - tropical notes / citrus, a decent amount of German malt, a little grassy bite on the finish. Won’t rock your world but it is good

Tap at the brewery
Big creamy head fades with tons of lacing, slight hazy golden honey color
Nose very big fruity hop, stone fruit, apricot, peach, huge tropical guava like guava paste, citrus notes, touch of malt
Taste brings tons more fruit, loads of guava again like straight guava jam again, touch of citrus, plenty of stone fruit apricot like, little sweet malt backbone, long bitter finish
Mouth is med bod, decent carb
Overall a fun ipa, nice unique hop combination and decent malt backbone, enjoyable

On of my favorites - great body - great selection of hops - meets the more style of American IPA.

Had on-tap at the Happy Valley Brew Co. Poured into a pint glass.
L: Pours a clear medium golden color. 2 fingers of white head, ample lacing.
S: Pine and spruce, slightly herbal.
T/F: Subdued malt character up front, with a nice bitter hop profile throughout. Evergreen and citrus... slight tangerine and orange zest. Resinous and slightly drying. Spicy with cracked peppercorns notes. Good carbonation. Crisp and clean with almost no aftertaste. Very refreshing IPA.
O: Great session IPA with lots of flavor and very refreshing. Interesting enough to keep going back to. Worthy.

Had on draft at the brewery. More tropical taste, lighter than Knuckleball. Nice, clean and bitter.
