Had on-tap at the brewpub in State College, PA. Poured into a tulip.
L: Pours a hazy medium golden color. Two fingers of thick creamy white head. Solid lacing.
S: Yeast and newly cut grass. Citrus and herbs.
T/F: Follows the smell, yeast and bread with fresh cut hay and some complex spices. Citrus, very faint banana, and cloves. Effervescent mouthfeel, and higher in ABV than your average wit which gives it a warming quality.
O: Billed as an 'Imperial Wit', this is a pretty solid wheat beer and the added ABV adds a bit of oomph to the brew. Decent flavors, and just north of sessionable. Solid and I'd have it again.
