Had on-tap at the brewery. Poured into a goblet. Listed as a 'blueberry stout'.
L: Dark, dark pour... nearly black with 2 fingers of foamy white head. Great lacing. Looks like a solid stout.
S; Roast sugars/grains... mild blueberry... a bit of espresso.
T/F: The flavor is where this one just lost it for me. With 8.9% ABV you'd think this would have a big full stout flavor, but decidedly lacking. Not sweet at least... blueberry in the background. Mild roast character... not picking up much chocolate or coffee like you'd expect for the style. Decidedly lacking. Medium bodied... mouth-feel is right... flavor is just absent.
O: Below average at best. Looks great. Smells ok... mouthfeel is good. Flavor just absent. Mild blueberry and lacking in stout depth/complexity... especially at the high ABV. Wouldn't consider drinking it again.
