Cheer up those beer-loving taste buds with our traditional American-style IPA. It's a perfectly layered and balanced brew - sweet and citrusy on the nose, lots of malt goodness and substantial hop bitterness.

Picked up a six pack of this in Silver City. Date on can: 04/13/2023. Strangely no ABV on can.
Pours a mostly clear amber in color with a tiny bit of hop particulates and a lovely, finger-thick creamy, frothy head on top. Plenty of lacing as you drink. Carbonation looks average, maybe a tick below. Looks to be on the balanced side, which is fine with me.
Aroma is melon and tropical fruits, a hint of pine, and a lovely, candied malt backbone. Wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm liking where this is going.
Taste follows the nose pretty well. A combination of roasted malts, maybe even a hint of rye, and citrus/tropical fruitiness up front and throughout. It's a bit earthy, the pine comes in a bit towards the swallow but isn't overpowering. It's very nicely balanced. Definitely lingers a bit on the tongue after the swallow with bitter, grapefruit rind and roasted maltiness in the background.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a lovely, slightly zesty carbonation and a good amount of creaminess/chewiness. This is very clean and drinkable, however, it is a little bit of a palate wrecker as it does linger on the tongue.
Overall, this is a very solid, balanced, classic IPA. It is decidedly hoppy but has ample maltiness to round it out. I'm a big fan of a balanced IPA when done well, and this one fits the bill. I don't really understand the lower rating here, I wonder if they have consistency issues with their canning process. I plan to go to the brewery tomorrow to try out some more stuff, but this is certainly a great introduction. Cheers!

not great. big on the herbal hop trip, very little else to show otherwise. the advertised citrus and substantial malt failed to show up on this journey. won't bother with it again and after suffering through 3 cans to try and gain a fair assessment, promptly gave the other half to a neighbor who I know doesn't care about taste. disappointing given that I've enjoyed other brews by them.

12oz can poured into Duvel tulip. 091321 printed on bottom of can. So about a month old, plenty fresh.
Appearance - Pours small one-finger somewhat tight creamy white head with good retention, lacing, and stick. Body is deep amber, opaque from the front but medium to medium-dark amber when backlit. 4.5
Smell - Nice soft rounded grassy hop with a soft citrusy sweetness. Very alluring. 5
Taste - Delicious. Actually tastes just like it smells. No off notes. Well balanced and very rounded. 5
Mouthfeel - Creamy yet only light-medium bodied, and finishes nice and clean and lightly. 5
Overall - Absolutely amazing beer. One of the best IPAs I've ever had. 5
