Taster at Grav South. Dark amber, clear, creamy head. Aroma is leathery, tobacco and kind of smoky. More scotch than Belgian. Yeast an afterthought. Seemed nice and went downhill.

This is labeled as a Belgian Quad style but I found it to be more accurately a dubbel.
This pours a burgundy brown with thin foaming.
There’s an aroma of malty, raisiny … bubble gum? I found the same bubble gum sweetness on the palate. Stone fruits, candied fruits, fig and some molasses sweetness round out the double bubble character.

Served in a tasting glass at Ale Arsenal.
A: Light tight head tops a golden-brown beer. Clear. Heavy lacing.
S: Banana bread. Smells like a hefe.
T: Bready-malty, with a strong, sweet undercurrent. Spicy, like eggnog. Nutmeg? Clove? This is a sorta bland, muddled, distant sweetish flavor. Undecided feelings.
M: Smooth. Vaguely spicy.
O: Not great, but not bad. Kind of watery? Bland and uninspiring. Would not have again.
