Poured from 16oz can into my 8th Wonder chalice. Canned 8/26/24.
Appearance: light golden hue with a dash of haze to the body and two fingers of frothy ivory head.
Smell: moderatley sweet malt aroma with notes of lemongrass and grapefruit peel. A pretty classic American IPA.
Taste: like the aroma, the malt is a bit sweet; the hops retain that very light, aromatic citrusy character. To be honest, it’s a bit too sweet for my taste, at least relative to the hops here.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creamines.
Overall: not too bad an IPA, but the sweetness-to-hop-character ratio just isn’t quite my cup of tea.

Thanks to SkunkDrool for this 16 oz. can. Silver can with tag-art.
The pour is a perfectly clear 24k gold – an IPA color I haven’t seen since aught nine or thereabouts. It’s beauuuutiful. The nose is light scallions, light malt, light pine. Light.
Diverge IPA raises my eyebrows with its clash-of-flavors oeuvre. Half the beer is excellent, the other half danky stankness. It has that lovely burst of bitterness & pine I miss so, but citra grabs the wheel & we spin off a cliff of ammonia & nine day old cat whizz. We land in a dank, stinky-ass bog.
I can’t do it. The cat piss is too strong with this one. A sterling disappointment that will end up in the sink.

From a can.
Nice creamy head, clear golden tan body. Mosaic on the nose, lightly so but just enough. There’s a nice balance on the palate with some green onion and guava, melon and papaya notes as well. Easy drinking. West coast!

The beer pours out a hazy dark golden color, with 1 finger of off white head------------- the aromas are of dank weed, grapefruit and grass------------ the flavors are of grapefruit, dank weed and breadiness, the beer has a thin mouthfeel with a moderate bitterness on the finish------------- overall this beer was ok, it was nothing fancy just an old school ipa

Citra, Simcoe, Eureka
American 2 Row, Cara Ruby
Bomber into belgian tulip. Pours slightly hazy 9 SRM body. A short lived but lively thin bubbly white head, dissipates to a thin rim of foam around the glass (interesting for an IPA). The smell is impressive right as I opened the bottle. Super tropical, sweet, and piney smelling with a sweet malt undertone. Fairly strong aroma overall. Taste follows the nose with an interesting tropical juicyness that brings Pliny to mind but a different malt profile, sort of toffee like and sweet. The mouthfeel is somewhat smooth but also lively carbonation and medium prickle on the tongue. The flavor resonates for a while after gulping it down. I think this is a perfect balance between a West coast and NE style IPA. Certainly a pleasure to drink and look forward to try many others from Faction.

Was hesitant to grab this one, because no freshness date found, and 16.9 oz at $6 is not a super value.... usually. This time? Wowzers, whether the hop combo, freshness or just imaginitve brewing turned out a miracle bottle... who cares - this was a really top notch IPA.
Semi-cloudy golden in a snifter, a nice fluffy white top that shrinks rapidly with only a hint of lacing. The aroma is intoxicating, floral-pine (my wife hated it, which is always a good thing... she doesn't like alcohol anyway so the more interesting the aroma, the less she wants to be near it!) Taste is tropical, really well balanced, and just makes the palate beg for more of it. Feel is crisp without being overly carbonated.... man, I like this. Definitely will grab more next time out shopping.
Easily rivals two of my favorites (Pliny & Lupulin River). If this is how this beer turns out most times, I'm on board. Absolutely a treat, delicious in all aspects... Bravo!!

This is a pretty tasty IPA. Citra forward in nature, and very muted malt backdrop. Mouthfeel is slightly heavy for a 7% IPA, but it isn't anything detrimental to the beer. Definitely merits continued purchases
