Dark amber colored, minimal off white head. Taste is strawberry, pineapple, very malty, choco malt and candied sugar. Smooth medium mouthfeel, creamy, sweet finish. Pair with stinky aged cheeses, stew, meatloaf, and grilled beef and pork.

Well, barleywines need to age, but I'm not sure aging will help this one. To me it just needs more of everything. It's light on body, sweetness, and hops. The flavor doesn't grab you and scream " barleywine". It's more like an imperial IPA with less hop character. Probably a work in progress from this new brewery. Still it is drinkable, just needs some work.
