A: Moderate citrusy hops, coupled with moderate toasty malts.
A: Light amber color, totally clear with a light white head that quickly recedes to a film across the glass.
T: Moderate citrusy hops upfront with a moderate toasty malt character. The beer is pretty crisp and has a moderately light lingering bitterness. The beer finishes dry with no noticeable esters.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
O: The liberal use of hops (outside of Northern Brewer) gives this beer an atypical, but interesting aroma. The beer has a similar appearance and hop profile to an American Amber (However, an American Amber has a higher gravity and a totally different yeast). I dig the unique spin Faction put on this California beer style!

On draft | Beer Belly, Los Angeles
Not a bad beer but not really a common in my opinion. The hop profile doesn't seem quite right - more in line with the good IPAs of the same brewery.
The mouthfeel seems thin as well.
Quite dry and not getting the caramel notes - aromas and taste - I would expect.
Maybe I am only judging based off Anchor Steam, which is a standard, but not necessarily right on my part.
