Pours a pale Amber with an off white head.
Smells of pine and breads malt.
Taste is a nice malt punch from the caramel and Munich malt balanced by piney citrus hops.

Appearance: A murky color somewhere between dark yellow and light brown. Tan cap, little lacing.
Aroma: Darker than pale malt and earthy hops, touch of conifer.
Taste: Malty, piney, rather unbalanced combination. Not pour out unpleasant, rather Marge is there anything else in the fridge unpleasant. Dry finish that's cleaner than what precedes it.
Texture: Manages to be both thin and medium alternatively.
Overall: Seems to have the right elements but the gears don't mesh. Cooking ale.

Spending the night in Biloxi and trying some local beers. Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a cloudy, dark golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is kind of earthy, some hops. Taste is grains, malts, piney hops, light bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall, not what I really expect from this style, but a decent beer nonetheless.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. I love having new beers from my home state.
A: Light to medium copper color
S: Subtle hop aroma. Prevalent maltiness. Nothing overpowering or assertive.
T: Holy malt!! A bit too much on the malty side for my pale ale tastes.
M: Good carbonation, lighter body, however the maltiness makes it appear to have more mouthfeel.
O: Eh. I'd say that it is more of a light brown ale, than a pale ale. Overall it is good beer, just miss classified.

Poured from 12-oz. bottle into faceted mug. Since Mississippi Brewing transitioned from a brew pub to a packaging brewery (Mississippi law currently requires a brewery to be one or the other), this beer has changed in name from Liquid Courage Pale Ale to just Courage Pale Ale. Currently contract-brewed by Crooked Letter, this is a nice example of an English-style Pale Ale, with a bigger malt backbone, and accompanying higher ABV.

On tap at the microbrewery
A: opaque amber. A tan 2 finger head that lingers. Significant lacing.
S: Grassy hops, barley, grains.
T: Grains swoop in for a smooth, well balanced taste. Piney hops make their presence known, ending in a slightly bitter finish. The 7.5% is well hidden but creeps up on you quickly for a nice buzz.
M: Medium with medium, frothy carbonation.
O : A terrific pale ale. The Vasquez brothers take pride in their brews. This is a flagship fer sure.
