The first attempt to get this beer down was straight out of the bottle.
It seemed over carbonated with a bit of a skunky taste. I was really thirsty so I tried.
I was only able to drink 2/5 of the bottle, so I thought it might be a 2 out of five.
Gave it a couple of days and poured one into a glass.
Nothing but head...weird. Maybe I poured it too fast.
Opened a third bottle, poured it very slow down the side of the glass.
OK...now we got something. A very white head about 4" and 1" of clear light yellow 'beer'.
That smell, still that skunk, but stronger in a more open atmosphere.
The head just taste like co2, so I let it settle down. All the head was gone in about 60 seconds.
Now I taste something like vinegar and ginger and carbonated water.
A taste that will not go away.
All in all a waste.

First had Southern LIGHT, at 138.6 calories the first Mississippi-brewed light beer, poured from 12-oz. bottle, indicating 4.50 ABV, into nonic pint. The label makes the modest but accurate claim that Southern LIGHT is a "drinkable Blonde Ale."

Poured a clear, golden color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of caramel and light citrus notes. Sweet caramel, mild bitterness and floral notes for flavor.
