the very first beer i have seen from these guys that didnt have a second number to go along with it, if it did, i missed it and cant find any information retroactively on it, any clarification on the name and number would be awesome, but this is what i think they are calling it and how they are classifying it. its a blended saison with grapefruit zest, with one of the threads being brett conditioned. its tart and interesting, with the citrus more bitter than flavorful and giving a little acidity to the beer, which is simple and wheaty at its base and has some fluffy dry body to it, but really isnt all that interesting. their house saison yeast has tasted belgian to me in other beers, vinous and estery, and it does here again, with an apple note and a piquant citrus thing in there as well. it tastes funky and mature, but also kind of weird, neat that its different, but im not sure how dialed in this one really is. i have liked almost all the other saisons i have had from them a little more than this, but i appreciated it being far and away the most interesting beer they had on tap while we were in. might age well in the bottle though with the brett, time will tell...
