Relative to Burning Sky's other two blended brews that I've had, Damson is a bit disappointing. Assuming the base process was close to similar, I'm not sure what happened to Damson. It might be the blend used too much tart.
Damson Looks a pretty amber and I give points for the clever and evocative label. But after that, Damson drops a notch. For its Smells could be more about malts, its Tastes could be less about tart and its less than medium-mouth could be fuller.
But in the hopes that my next brew from them is reduced-tart, I still give Burning Sky good Overall Hugs for making the effort to expand the Belgian tradition in the U.K.
