Bottle of Wisconsin Brewing's Golden Amber poured into a pint glass gives off 2.5 fingers of a sticky white foam atop a clear amber brew.
Aromas of lightly roasted, slightly sweet malt. Lots of grainy, bready malt character. Not picking anything else up.
Taste is sweet malts, hints of caramel atop a grainy cereal barley malt taste.
Mouthfeel is fairly light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Zingy finish with a mild hop bitterness.
Overall an easy drinking, sweet malty brew.

8/4...pours shiny dark copper, head of white/off white foam. Soft caramel malt nose, very faint. Light bodied, bready, malty, and a quick finish. Slight hop balances out. Smooth and simple.

This beer seems remarkably similar to my memory of Budweiser's American Ale, which apparently is no longer brewed, except this one has a bit more body.

like the former, it pours a clear golden rust color. one finger head soon settles to a ring and some cap. some scattered lace.

s sweet caramel, lightly toasted malts, very mild undertone of indescript hops.

t caramelized maltiness backed by a reserved bitterness. very malt forward, like a marzen.
finish is sticky toasted caramel, not as dry as the bud product. actually tastes like a cross between that beer and SA Octoberfest, now that I ponder it more, but with a fuller mouthfeel than either.

m sticky medium body

d a middle of the road sort of beer with some heft. I am convinced this could pass as an example of the amber style of marzen.

Definately a go-to beer for the price and taste. Also go for wbc's yankee buzzard if ur looking for something more complex.
