Pours a brilliant pale golden in color, topped with a large / voluminous shock-white head. Head drops slowly and leaves some nice lacing behind. Looks good so far.

Nose is definitely sweet and malt-focused, but with enough classic Bavarian / Noble hop character in the background. Some classic and light fruity esters, too.

Very dry and well-balanced on the first sip, with a great lingering hop bitterness. Hop character is also lightly floral and herbal, but in no sense in the forefront. Light tanginess.

Very, very evenly balanced, with much less sweetness than the nose would suggest. Dry, almost as dry as a classic (Munich / Bavarian) Pils, but with much less hop character.

Very smooth drinker, and with a lighter mouthfeel. "Session"-able.

After a few days of drinking only domestic and "Craft-brewed Helles-style lagers, I think that I'm legitimately impressed with this one!

Served in a pint glass.

That's what I call my di--I mean, my gun, my gun. Yeah. Anyway, this stuff pours a clear brass topped by a finger of bone foam. The nose comprises mild barley and a hint of flowery grass. The taste brings in more of the same, everything coming through a half-touch bolder, and a bit of sourdough being added for the sake of it. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, this beer was marketed as being a simple, inexpensive, go-to option for the craft segment. I can sorta see some success in my glass, but only if "simple" and "go-to" equate to "bland", "boring", and "forgettable". I wouldn't turn down another bottle if one were offered me, but this will likely never be a purposeful revisit for me, let alone my go-to.

Just a well made Munich style lager. Looks nice, yellow, nice head. Smells like sweet bready malt, tastes like a classic crisp lager. Very thrist quenching, easy drinking. Just a well made simple beer.

L - Light gold, a hint of red. Clear. Short, moderately persistent white head.
S - Bready sweet pale malt. A little fruit.
T - Light. A little drier than suggested by the aroma. Mainly pale malt - bread, biscuit. A little spice in the finish.
