On tap at WBC Tap Haus in Madison, Wisconsin. Served in a snifter glass. Pours a darker brown body, not quite black, one finger white head, short retention, fair bit of film and lacing. Smells of spice, molasses, toffee, light bourbon and oak; certainly fits the part of the scotch ale mold. Flavour follows, with a mild-moderate amount of bourbon smokiness and sweetness to go along with the base scotch ale. It's fairly balanced, actually, and drinks reasonably well like BBSA from CW. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, lighter carbonation, a bit creamy with a slight stickiness on the finish.
