Solid barleywine but nothing particularly memorable. Quite dark in color for the style and lacking in the nice creamy head one might expect, especially considering this isn't barrel aged or completely massive. Aroma is predictable and unexciting but it's pleasing enough on the palate, bringing the expected toffee, brown sugar and raisin notes without getting too sweet and finishing fairly cleanly with some moderately drying tannins and light hop bitterness. Medium bodied.

Undoubtedly professional but doesn't really get beyond that.
