Pours a slightly cloudy sunset orange color. A fingernail length bubbly head retains well.
The nose displays stone and citrus fruit along with herbal and piney hops that suggest bitterness. Aromas of peach, apricot, orange and jammy marmalade pair with notes of honey, caramel and biscuit.
Opens sweet but with perceptible bitterness in the finish. A firm doughy, biscuity, graham cracker and honey malt base supports flavors of jammy fruit, including, orange, peach and apricot. A piney and resiny bitterness develops, not quite overpowering, but balancing the malt base adeptly.
Medium to full bodied. The mouthfeel is soft, smooth, chewy and slick. The carbonation is moderate to gentle.
A solid and tasty DIPA. It has a good malt to hops balance and hides the alcohol well.
