Middelfart 31/3 2017. 50 cl bottle from Kvickly, Østergade, Middelfart. Apparantly the winner of the Scandinavia Championship in Craft Beer 2016. Half naked hillbilly guy with pale complexion on the label.
Pours hazy pale yellow with big white bubbly head. Settles as very thin almost transparent layer of foam. Lacing on the side of the glass.
Aroma is fruity and tart with sugary notes. Citrus, peach and unripe gooseberries.
Fairly strong carbonation and slightly thick palate.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by strong sour bitterness. Aftertaste is long and sour. Dry, sour finish.
Fine and very bitter Saison which is refreshing and dry and unforgiving at the same time.
