16oz can from brewery. Brown pour, skimpy off-white head , thin ring. Nutty, woody aroma, toasty. Taste is a bit weaker than the aroma, lackluster malty flavors that fade fast and a small bitter buzz.

Handsome shade of red-brown with creamy foam in the Westmalle goblet. Modest nutty and dark roasted grain aroma. Light body, sudsy, and pillowy in the mouth. Pleasant dark roasted flavor with a grainy finish. This seems quite bitter for the English style of Brown ale. However it's a refreshing dark brew with just enough malty sweetness. From the 16 oz can purchased at the Coop market. Dated 10/02/24.

Just had this afternoon at the brewery. Pours a darkish brown color with no real head. Aroma is malt, caramel & hazelnuts, taste is similar plus a hint of coffee and bitterness. All their dark beers had a similar taste.
