From the 12 oz. can dated 07/02/17 - 1st Batch. Sampled November 18, 2017.
It pours an opaque looking chestnut brown underneath a lingering, soft tan or mocha head. Some fading and lacing.
The aroma is sweet, roasty, rich, nutty, and has a feint cocoa presence. Low to no hop profile.
The body is medium to full but it is smooth and creamy.
The roasted sweet malt character continues boldly in the flavor with the nuttiness downplayed but the cocoa presence jumping forward. Earthy, dry hop bitterness at the finale.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a semi-dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that held and fell off at a decent pace. Sly messy lace. The aroma had some sweet and roasty nuts up front with a nice smooth caramel/toffee maltiness rolling in and then through some nice earthy hops. The flavor held the balance of sweet to roasty and bringing in some toast, damp wood and a light butterscotch to blend with the prior noted aromas. Sly aftertaste of the malts. Quick malty finish. The palate was about medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Fairly smooth to the touch along my tongue. Overall, pretty nice English styled brown ale that I could come back to.

Sample from the Granite State Brewers Festival 7/25/15
Rich caramel and chocolate notes with hints of toffee earth and a light pitted fruitiness. Nice brown ale.
