Poured a clear golden body with no head. A typical low ABV IPA, not bad, but not amazing. Scents of tropical fruit, with notes of mango and large levels of pineapple, slight cracked pepper, faint hints of bubblegum in the background and hints of white pepper. Overall impression of aroma is of a very tropical fruit forward IPA with extremely strong levels of pineapple, so much so that I would believe it had pineapple added, though it is only the hop variety used. Very appealing. Flavor begins with medium bitterness and notes of pine resin and heavy pineapple. This moves into a medium-high bitter middle with notes of pine resin and peppery hops and medium-light pineapple notes. Finish is medium-bitter with notes of pine resin, peppery hops, white pepper and light pineapple. Aftertaste is white pepper, pine resin and grainy malt. Overall impression of flavor is of a relatively simple overall flavor profile, but it is incredibly unique and very pleasant, combining tropical fruit and pepper nicely. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation and a resinous feel with a drying finish. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a good, true to form IPA, a bit light, but I believe this is a session IPA. Overall this is a good experimental IPA. It showcases the unique aromas and flavors of the chosen hops well and is pleasant to drink as a result. The mouthfeel aids drinkability and makes this a fine ale.
