This is one of my 2 favorite Light Lager Beers. I like very low IBU Lagers, not a hoppy beer drinker. Don’t like the taste of hoppy beers over 20 IBU’s and hops seems to affect me in different ways, so I avoid them. The other light lager I love is Yuengling Light.

Can barely tell it’s a beer. But very refreshing.

Straw colored, not quite hazy but not clear either. Small head gone in a sip. Smell is lemon and some light hop bitterness with bread. Taste follows suit. No one flavor outshines the other but nothing is prominent either. Flavors are light. Definitely seems like a low cal beer. If you’re watching your weight you might drink it but it doesn’t offer much beyond the health aspect.

16 ounce can into lager glass, canned in 1222/2019. Pours lightly hazy pale golden straw color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. A bit of fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with pale malts and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Very nice balance and solid robustness of pale malts and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Very clean on lager flavors, minimal fruity/yeasty notes. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light body; with a very smooth, and fairly bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is good. Pretty thin, but not too watery. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4%. Overall this is a very good low calorie lager. All around nice balance and solid robustness of pale malts and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Nice clean pils malt showcase with solid earthy hop presence/balance for the style. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
