In 2015, we had an idea to team up a local band to craft a unique Mexican lager. San Antonio has many great bands and musicians but the one band we decided to team up with is a huge local favorite, Finding Friday. They are one of a few top 40 cover bands in San Antonio and when they play everyone is always dancing and having a good time.
This new beer is an extremely smooth amber Mexican lager that will quench the thirst of anyone seeking maximum flavor, enjoyment and entertainment. The band Finding Friday is the namesake. Find your Friday everyday with this amazing Mexican lager.

From a can. Amber color with white head. Sweet malt smell. Light feel. Tastes like citrus and cracker malts with some mineral/hard water notes. Pretty good.

i wanted to like this more than i did, really that was true of all the beer in here, but this is one of the more tame and drinkable of their offerings, if i had to pick one. its not as clean and crisp as i want the style to be, part of that is really saggy carbonation, but the flavor of the yeast is there for sure, and its nice over such a simple malt base, i believe its pretty close to being good. the yeast just never seems to dry it out, and there is a funny ester thing thats present in a lot of their beers, lagers and ales alike, that just sort of has an amateur nature to it. that said, i get subtle lime, crackery pils type malt, and the minerals in the water, its got all the makings of a fine example of the style, it just doesnt quench my thirst and refresh the way it probably should. i thought all the beer in here was a little lackluster, but this is one of the ones that seems closest to a tasty final evolution. a couple more batches and a little more attention to detail and this will be there hopefully...
