Really dark brown, almost black, with a small "muddy" creamy head.
Smell of milky chocolate, nice roasted malts, caramel, a touch of butter, some dried plum and date, faint vanilla. Decent, but there's a weird sweetness on the nose, hopefully just there.
Some nice roasted malts and chocolate, but also some bad notes, like a pretty big "buttery" diacetyl flavor and a bit of sourness. On the plus side, some nice clear red apple notes, faint raisin, a touch of nut, even a deeper cocoa flavor later on. Finish with coffee powder and some burnt bread, pretty bitter too.
Aftertaste has that unpleasant sour zing, nice roast, lingering bitterness, coffee dregs, so a bit better, as a whole. Medium to light body, same as the carbonation, a bit watery.
Not too good, but not a disaster. Still, needs more work.

This one pours a completely dark brown almost black with a decent cream colored head. There is a roasted malt aroma which is complemented by some coffee aroma as well.
The taste is very bitter and there’s a bit too much coffee for my liking.
A strong tasting beer.
