Sampler at the Brewpub and took home a Growler.
Golden hay-like yellow, clear, minimal frothy head and light lacing.
Yeast contributes the dominant spice and citrus fruits, with very little barnyard typical of Saisons. There is no wet hay character here. Possibly some contribution from an aroma hop in the citrus nose but I can't be sure.
Like the nose, just with more umph. Lots of citrus, fruit candies like banana Laffy Taffy, and the spicy yeasty Saisoniness. Everything blends well without being too overpowering.
Effervescent and well carbed, with 7% alcohol it still feels quite thin. Nothing really lingers and it's very easy to throw back.
Not my favorite Saison, but a great little beer nonetheless. I'll be keeping my eye on this one as MRB gets bigger.
