a really great beer, tasty and desserty and unique, but just too darn sweet to really drink, especially at the end of a big session, it just felt like a ton of beer in the pint can, even split up a few ways, if they dried it out a little more, i think it would be objectively better, but its hard to be too critical of this, im glad it exists, and i continue to respect wiley roots as much as anyone in the game. the thing i like the most about it is that i can actually smell and taste the graham cracker, and for all the beers that say they use it, this one really showcases it, i get the honey and the bready bit and its so cool with the dark bitter malt and the chocolate in here, i love what it adds, and never expected that element to be so pronounced. the cinnamon isnt hot at all, more of a savory thing than a forced spicy one, and thats the right call in such a silky and elegant brew. heavy brown sugar notes, long boiled sweetness, and an almost diabetic vanilla property all combine to take this one a little too far for me though, it lingers forever, coats the palate and the throat, and even the booze doesnt cut it at all. its a shame because the other flavors are awesome and so is the balance between them, but even a few ounces of this is a big dose. cinnamon and graham and chocolate all there at the end, a little smoke, honey, black barley, its complex and delicious, maybe something to try with ice cream...
