a really cool mixed fermentation tart beer all done in stainless. apparently the peaches here have been used in some other beers before this one, but they evidently have a lot to give still, the peach on the nose of this mostly clear and brightly carbonated brew is strong, fresh, juicy, and ripe. its remarkably compatible with the hops in here too, quite a bit more robustly dry hopped than i was anticipated, but its not too much, its an awesome layer of this, and together with the citrusy tang, it all really makes my mouth water. really new school when i taste it, lightly funky and very tart, lemony and clean enough on the bacterial side, a little young on other yeast elements, tidy without any wood heft or funk on it, and with quite a bit of the fruit character too, especially on the finish, almost candied for a moment, but it doesnt have sweetness to it residually. i get the whole peach here which is cool, the fuzzy skins and all, very natural to me, almost surprising they have been used before in different beers. i like the stainless instead of wood, its lighter, and i like the cleanness of the sour, but this lacks in the grain department for me, its so hoppy and fruity and tangy and there is no balance to it at all. i like the flavors a lot, but its not all that beery to me. its cool these guys are doing so many new beers of late, and that they have been so ambitious. this is really tasty, but definitely not for everyone. other fruits like apples and wine grapes come to mind for future batches...
