From the brewery website:
"Sitting on the fringes of a porter and stout, Black Ice is a 10% ABV Imperial Black Ale infused with Organic Raw Peruvian Chocolate Cacao Nibs, then aged with Oak and Whiskey. The result is a delicious winter warmer seasonal that captures the essence of what a fanatical ale should be."
Had this at the release party on tap. Poured a dark brown with an almost chocolate milk-like creamy thickness. Aroma was a nice blend of cocoa, oak and roasted malts and the taste was similar. Nice and sweet, chewy mouth-feel with just a slight bitterness on the back-end. Definitely a very tasty and "warming" black ale and I'll certainly be getting this one again.
