L: Poured from a bottle to a snifter glass. Had a dark amber color and a clear consistency. There was a half inch of foamy / fizzy head that lasted an average amount of time. Not much lacing here.
S: An interesting, if kind of odd, aroma of dark fruit, yeast, salt, and other light fruit.
T: Tasted of a some yeast notes (not overly present), a decent bit of salt (lots in the finish), some of the advertised bacon (slightly fleeting), a little light fruit (apples?), and a good amount of dark fruit (dates, especially). This is definitely an oddball flavor. You do get some of the bacon in the flavor, but that doesn't always mix well with the sourness. Uneven.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a lively, tart finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This is one of experiments that didn't quite work. Worth a look for the novelty.
