I don't see a date on the can.
Appearance: It is a medium brown with a lighter color around the edges. It trends a bit lighter than the average Brown Porter. The head is dense with bubbles and it has a very light khaki color. It has very good head retention and lacing.
Aroma: It smells like raspberries.
Taste: It tastes a bit earthy up front like paprika. There is a bit of raspberry flavor that slowly slides in and then dominates the palate. Towards the back of the palate there is a very soft and faint flavor of baker's chocolate. While there are some good flavors to the beer they don't really seem to be meshing well together and they come in at odd times. The beer has a bit more of a savory and bitter character than a tart or sweet one.
Mouthfeel: It is very smooth. It has a medium-full body and low carbonation.
Overall: The beer isn't as pleasant as it is interesting to drink. This isn't a bad thing but rather a note for those interested in trying this beer. It comes in a four-pack with one beer of each type and that is suiting for this beer. It's worth trying as a curio because it is interesting but it lacks as a porter and feels a bit confused as a beer in general. It's a bit like a mosaic of flavors that might be interesting but don't really add or detract from the overall picture.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
