16 oz cans from the Beer Station in Seneca SC on 3 different evenings.

Appearance. This has a clear, dark mahogany colored body with a decent off-white head. While most of the head dissipates relatively fast, a ring capable of providing a modicum of lacing hands on for a long time.

Brewed with raisins, this maibock has no clear raisin flavor but the nicely balanced flavor does have a fine component of mixed dark dried fruits. I get at least as much suggestion of figs and dates as of raisins. Anyway, it captures some of the dark dried fruit impact of many dark Belgian beers, which is a good thing. The slightly dank aroma is the weak spot.

From the 1 pint can in a pint glass. This excellent maibock pours a
ruby tinged mahogany with an excellent head of off white foam that settles
to a thick ring, thin light clumping layer, and shows off some nice light
lacing. Nose of brown sugar, raisins, and light herbal notes with touches
of cherry and rich malts. Flavors nail it out of the park with brown sugar
dusted raisins, faint dried cherry and cranberry, light floral hop notes, and
subtle herbal elements that are more than pleasant. Very nice mouth
feel; medium body, medium light carbonation that supply some nice
lift, and a sweet faintly dry finish.

Excellent balance, full flavor......a lot to love in this fine brew!

Cheers!
