Special-roasted and extra dark barley combined with three kinds of hops give this brown the perfect blend of bitterness and malt character. If you think you don’t like dark beer, you haven’t had our signature brown ale.

A very hoppy American Brown Ale. Completely lacking maltiness. If you closed your eyes and drank this, you wouldn't guess American Brown Ale.

If you like hoppy beers, this is your kind of "American Brown Ale." If you like American Brown Ales, this one is an outlier. It lacks the roasted maltiness of a typical American Brown, and instead hits you with a crisp hoppiness.

My favorite local beer is Black Warrior brown at Downtown Pub in t town. My favorite bottled beer is Dos Equis Ambar, and Black warrior brown tastes kind of similar, and it's local, and it's on tap. So I got a 6pack of Black Warrior Broad Street Brown, hoping it was the same as Black Warrior brown, just slightly different name. 6pack of this costs $12.99.
DEA is just a little more for a 12pack.
This tastes like Guinness stout to me, maybe not as dark a taste, but similar. Not as good as DEA, It's better than BW's El Guerro but still it's not one I would buy again, when DEA tastes better, and costs less.
And if you find DEA at a Mexican restaurant, that is some good beer!

Bought a can of this at the brewery during a recent Yuletide visit. Poured the beer into a shaker pint. Beautiful foamy, creamy beige head atop a dark brown beer. Smell and taste of roasted malt. Some chocolate and a nice earthy bitterness. Pleasant smooth feel. Overall a pretty good brown ale.

Great brown ale if you are into that kind of thing. If you aren't, you need to check yourself.
