This award-winning American Brown Ale is brewed with Mexican Piloncillo sugar in the boil, resulting in notes of brown sugar. A full-bodied ale, the sweet is balanced with traditional English hops to add bitterness.

August 12th, 2015 - Branded as an American brown ale with Mexican raw brown sugar, this taps into my love for Mexican Coca-cola. The brew is colored more like a proper or a stout, and sports a bloom of foam on the top that looks like espresso, or even an algae bloom, but cappuccino colored. The nose is defined by a roasted coffee smell, a touch of tobacco, and chocolate sprinkles. And the body is light, with a delicate palate. The aftertaste is delicious and gives off that soda and root beer sweetness, but the rest of the flavor is relatively tame and normal.
