August 12th, 2015 - Groundswell is blending up lots of pale ales this month, from white and now to red. The color is a beautiful mahogany with a heavy pine citrus smell, and more a bouquet that reminds me of wet mushrooms, and a wet temperate rainforest. The flavor is moderately sweet but also kind of mushy, with that overly bitter, burnt sweetness like vintage candies.

on draft, in a 9 oz glass
appears a clear, dark amber red colored, with off-white head. aroma is carmel, and earthy piney hops, but not a great mix. similar taste. medium bodied.
