An average lager made worse by guava. I cannot recommend this.

Darker shade of golden with a significant chill haze to it. There is very little head or lacing to this beer but it contains fruit so what would you expect?
The pièce de résistance of this beer, pure white guava flesh with a slightly earthy nuance coupled with amber malt that shines through with sweetness and a touch of grain to remind you this is beer not juice.
Pale two row, soda crackers and honey. A very solid base for a drinkable blonde ale. The finish is a touch of grassy hops with some mild acidity likely from the fruit. A touch of phenols from the yeast. Where's the guava guys?!
A bit watery and grainy, you can detect it as the beer warms. Medium-low carbonation. Pretty clean with easily managed alcohol.
Pretty let down that the guava didn't translate into the favor but I could smell this beer all day. A very solid and refreshing blonde ale base. Maybe they should use pink guava puree next time.

Attractive light amber with a modest foam in the Ommegang chalice, just to be fancy. A lovely bit of fruit comes wafting to the nose.
The guava is really a nice flavor, and I'm surprised it's not used more. The bitter hops emerge for the aftertaste. Slightly grainy with a sweet edge when you take that sip. This starts to taste like a Pale Ale, but it's more of a Blonde. Doesn't taste like a pale wheat to me.
One of the tastiest fruit-flavored beers I've had. It's a little edgy and more drinkable than a lot of over-done fruited-up beers. From the 32 oz growler purchased at the brewery in Oceanside.

On tap at the Legacy tap room, along with a healthy sampling of their other stuff.
The beer arrives looking like its light, macro cousins with a shot-glass of orange in it. Rabid carbonation spasms up & down the vertical column of the beer faster than the eye can follow. Nose doesn’t amount to much: bit of grain & light fruit.
That Guava Beer has me lusting for green fruit, & I’m a bit disappointed. Tastes like a non-Monroe blonde: grainy, light malts, with a moderate backing of light guava. I was hoping for more fruit! It’s strength is that this is easy to slug on a muggy San Diego evening.
This would be a beer to share with friends who might not like craft beers, but could dig the combo of light tastes & light fruit. Decent enough.
