Poured from a bomber into a mug, the beer is a deep, dark, mahogany coloring, with a thin halo of off white head. Aromas of roasted hazelnut, sweet chocolate, hints of cream, and coconut highlights. Flavors of heavily roasted nut sweetness forward, with a blend of bitter chocolate and hints of coconut. Earthy highlights provide some depth to the beer. Mid-bodied and dry in mouth, with a chocolate and coconut aftertaste, almost like a chocolate turtle candy. Dry, smooth, slightly lingering finish. Fun, tasty beer.

Poured into a Double Barley can-shaped pint glass. No freshness date.
A- Pours a fully opaque black color with a 1/2 inch tan head that retains well before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and minimal surface foam. Non-resilient lacing leaves tiny specs behind.
S- Roasty, chocolaty malt aroma with some subtle coconut.
T- Coconut comes through better in the flavor but still chocolate and caramel flavors dominate. Has a bit of a metallic taste which can be excused. Coconut comes through more as it warms. Coffee aftertaste.
M- Typical porter feel which is on the thinner side of thick. Medium carbonation and a fullish body.
O- Solid coconut presence and the flavors marry together nicely. A nice offering from a brewery that's new to me. Pairs surprisingly well with nachos.

A: Pours an opaque but still clear very dark brown approaching jet black in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation along the edges of the glass and moderate amounts of dark cola brown highlights. The beer has a finger tall foamy tan head that reduces to a medium to large sized patch of thin film with a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of coconut and dark chocolate with light aromas of roasted and chocolate malts.
T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of roasted and chocolate malts with a light amount of sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of dark chocolate and coconut. Light amounts of roasty bitterness in the finish.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.
O: Enjoyable and easy to drink with well hidden alcohol though slightly thin in the mouthfeel. I like it and I was psyched it did not smell/taste like sunscreen.

On tap at the brewery'
Look; Dark brown to black, basically no head, no lacing.
Smell; COCONUT! Some roasty coffee and chocolate.
Taste; Like a liquid Mounds bar. Coconut, chocolate, very sweet, a little bitterness on the downtake.
Feel; Like a good Porter, not too much carbonation, silky.
Overall; Decent, the coconut was a bit over the top, but still a good sip.
