This is superior to regular Dragon's Milk in my opinion... if you lile coffee stouts, definitely check this out.
This brew looks black and thick, with barely any head or retention. Oily and deep like a busted-out oil pump in the Permian Basin.
The smell is rather muted but I get plenty of coffee, soy sauce, peat, root vegetables freshly plucked from a well-watered farm and rain.
The taste is mostly coffee, with a roasty feel at the beginning and a dry, hoppy and funky tang at the end of the sip. Distant notes of vanilla and mealy apples.
The mouthfeel is a undeniably thin, but not terribly so. The cold-brew-coffee aroma is enough to lift this brew from a skinny body. I like the prickly, long finish and the vanilla-coffee taste that lingers in the mouth for a while.
For a 9% brew, this drinks easy! No harshness or nasty sweetness. Eminently coffee-forward, but still well balanced. A winner in my book!
