Brewed exclusively for Sheffields. 2015 vintage; drank 9/10/15 on draft @ Sheffields.
Brown/purple appearance.
Tan head; frothy lace.
Plum, caramel & toffee notes in the nose.
Medium thick, creamy mouthfeel.
Candle wax & plum flavors up front; hop bite on the finish.
A nice quaff; not mind-blowing, but I'd have another.

Came in a tulip at Sheffield's in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. This collaboration Aass bock beer from New Holland arrived as a translucent brownish lager with hints of red, and a dark beige 3/4 inch head of foam. The aroma was caramel and biscuit, and it tasted the same. Felt a little fizzy and light on the tongue, I expected more malt like German bock, so perhaps my rating isn't as fair as it should be. Finishes clean, this is a dangerously drinkable 8% beer.
