I guess I didn't read this right I thought it was just a wild sour ale but it turned out to be a pretty decent sour Stout not as sour as the honey ginger but it still had a little bit of red wine and Cherry taste. Would not get it again but it was still interesting

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/25/2018. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy red/black cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, plum, pear, currant, red/green apple, melon, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, brown sugar, and toasted dark bread; with light notes of pepper, smoke, char, leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of cherries, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, and moderate dark/roast/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big sour/tart/tangy red/black cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, plum, pear, currant, red/green apple, melon, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, brown sugar, and toasted dark bread; with light notes of pepper, smoke, char, leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang; light yeast spiciness, and roast bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy red/black cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, plum, pear, currant, red/green apple, melon, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, light leather/funk/vinegar, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of cherries, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, and moderate dark/roast/bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering, astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, acidic/tangy/tannic, and slightly chalky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 6.7%. Overall this is an excellent sour stout. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of cherries, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, and moderate dark/roast/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish, not overly lactic. Awesome balance of authentic juicy cherries and Brett/bacteria complexity; with a nice stout malt backbone, without being overly thick/roasty against the cherries and sour notes. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected of the series so far.

This is my second to third sour stout and have to say this is okay but was hoping for more sourness as well as greater tones of roasted malts and chocolate. Instead it's slightly sour with a metallic flavoring and subtle notes of chocolate along with dark cherries which was the highlight but wasn't enough to win me over. Okay beer but not executed as well as I had hoped.
