Combining two classics for one delectable treat, we took our classic oatmeal stout, The Poet, and upped the ABV while loading it with real Reese’s™ peanut butter. The result is a rich, velvety, full-bodied brew with a nutty sweetness to amplify the stout you know and love. Quoth the Raven, “More peanut butter please!”

poured from a 16oz can – 1/11/2021 [ink jetted on bottom of can]
New Holland Peanut Butter Poet has a black body with a slight red cast when held up to the light. A generous 1 ½-finger foamy/bubbly tan head was produced. The head held very well and left behind clingy foamy lacing. The nose was dominated by malt, nutty peanut butter, chocolate, and burnt toast. The flavors are rich and bold. Light sweet chocolate, butter and nutty peanut butter in the background. Mouth feel is full bodied, creamy and smooth with moderate carbonation,
Peanut Butter Poet is a flavorful stout that hides its ABV well – a must try for stout fans.

I poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass. A 1.5 inch tan head quickly rose and broke into a cloud which laced the glass nicely after each sip. The nose is beautiful.. a quality peanut butter scent, nicely offset by cocoa and boozy notes.. aromatic! The taste is nice, perhaps a touch too sweet on the finish, but eminently drinkable and enjoyable. The mouthfeel is robust, substantial, and spot on. Overall, I think this is the best peanut butter brew I have ever had. We've got a 16 oz. can @ 10.6% ABV, here folks.. New Holland Peanut Butter Poet demands your attention. It is a suitable companion to sit-down reflection, and conversation with friends. Here's to you!

Pours pitch black with a half inch caramel head, good retention, sticky lacing. Smell is alcohol, peanuts, and chocolate. Taste follows suit. Very peanut forward beer. Definitely has the salty, semi sweetness of peanut butter. Chocolate undertones. Feel is very thick and velvety. Good beer.

Absolutely delicious! New Holland hasn’t disappointed me yet.
Look: Pours a dark chocolate brown with very little head. Medium lacing.
Smell: You immediately get loads of that peanut butter, and some milk chocolate, as well as roastiness from the beer itself. Not much of a hoppy or boozy smell to it at all, this stout does well in hiding it despite the ABV.
Taste: Upon first sip, its immediately clear the craftsmanship that is put into this stout. Incredible notes of sweet, creamy peanut butter and silky milk chocolate are balanced by roasted malts and a present but pleasantly low hop character. The peanut butter does not dominate the brew, and despite not being barrel aged, this has more of a barrel aged thing going on than most (non-barrel aged) flavored beers I’ve ever had.
Feel:One of the best mouthfeels I have ever experienced. Absolutely silky smooth and has low carbonation that blends nicely and doesn’t detract from the creamy character. Makes me almost feel like I’m drinking a (less sweet) Reeses. This one must be tried to be believed.
Overall I’m surprised this beer isn’t more popular. If you see it and enjoy sweeter stouts with creamy mouthfeels, I cannot recommend this one enough.

Brief Review: Another Poet variant from New Holland here, this time a peanut butter twist. Surprisingly strong with the peanut butter flavors, very rich. Balanced nicely with the base beer, and I love the increased ABV. Great mouthfeel too. New Holland has been killing it lately with their variants and one-off specialties. This is great.
Recommendation: Don't let the peanut butter scare you, this one's awesome.

Canned on 1/8/21. 16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black; khaki head that falls leaving great retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are malt forward. Hints of cocoa and peanut shells. The flavors are bold and rich. It's slightly sweet, but not cloyingly sweet. More cocoa and chocolate. The peanut butter is subtle, but it definitely comes through and doesn't go unnoticed. The peanut butter is balanced and does a nice job of accentuating the other flavors. Strong malt backbone. It finishes with a mild warmth, but it's not hot or boozy at all. Mouthfeel is very nice. It's full-bodied with moderate to low carbonation. It's very creamy, velvety, fluffy and smooth. It drinks somewhat big, but it's still ultimately dangerously drinkable.
This is a pretty nice brew. The peanut butter does its thing without dominating or coming off as the solo star. The sum is greater than the parts with this one. The craftsmanship is on point. It's very enjoyable and fun to drink. Well done. I really like it.
