Triple Mash is a monster stout on its own, but the double barrel version is a step higher.

Whoa! This is properly boozy. Crazy.

I can appreciate what they are trying to do here, which is to just create an utterly extreme "beer" and it is definitely that. It's closer to hard liquor than beer.

It's extremely thin though, I wanted more chew. It's supposed to be a big stout, so why isn't it thick?

It feels and tastes a lot like a rum and Coke, which is kinda weird because it's aged in bourbon barrels... not rum barrels. I wanted a beer though, not a mixed drink.

I probably won't buy it again, but I'm glad I got this 4 pack and will enjoy the rest of them. Give it a shot if you like extreme ABV beers. It's fun. Sometimes it's nice to try something completely off the wall crazy.

Anyway, one 12 oz bottle is enough. Maybe even too much if you have to work in the morning.

New Holland, you guys are nuts. Bravo... I think. What the fuck.

This is a small batch brew and as such only available at the brewery, and no crowler sales available.
Poured looking like coffee, black with a thin ring of head that leaves no lacing.
The taste is Triple Mash with the addition of barrel notes and some bourbon. Not sure how long New Holland ages these, but the double barrel makes a noticeable difference.
The feel is thinner than the ABV would normally suggest, about like the aforementioned coffee. Odd, but typically Dragons Milk.
