Sat on my bottle for a few months after hearing the initial negative response.
I'm glad I did, as this is drinking pretty nice. The carbonation is pretty nuts, and the nose is limited to a little dark chocolate and a dollop of dark fruits. But the taste is really quite good: bakers chocolate, dark roast, plum, black cherry, a little hop spiciness. The wood is a little too present for my taste, even with the age. Good stout feel, chewy and thick with a little alcohol singe.
Not even close to Other Half's normal pedigree, this is an odd release. But it's definitely drinkable.

Over carbonated and dry. Unacceptable.
