A 32 oz growler from DiCicco's in Ardsley. Pale straw gold with a bit of resiny cloudiness.
Small white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is light sweet malt and cereal grains. Tropical hops scream Chinook. A bit of peppery spiciness with notes of buttered bread and mild alcohol. Taste is a Chinook hop showcase. Malt is light with warm buttery dinner roll sweetness and bread notes. The hops take the malt and go pineapple, mango and guava then veer towards grapefruit skin for an extra dry, short and clean finish. No sign of the six percent. Feel is light and crisp with gentle carbonation. Easy drinking, this would be a top ten summer party beer with a the slightly elevated abv a good time enhancer.

This was watery, with very little flavor or hop bite. Didn't even have that toasted bread characteristic I've come to expect from solid English-style IPAs. Just not a great effort for this one.

From 12/05/14 notes. 16 oz. pour of this in a pint glass at Proletariat in NYC.
Pours a murky, bright orange color with one inch of white head and moderate carbonation evident. Citrus hops, oranges, fruity malts, pineapples, and light tropical fruits. Also some bready malts and dough. Medium to light body and moderate carbonation.
Overall pretty good but not super hoppy...the baretender made it sound like it was a hoppy pale ale. Good and worth checking out but not nearly as good as a lot of their other great beers.

A: opaque, yellow-orange, finger of white foam

T: citrus but not acidic, smooth, hint of Belgian yeast (bubble gum?)
O: okay, not my favorite but not bad either
