Modest finger plus head of pure white foam, even surfaced but airy enough that retention is so-so, the lacing is very thin, however, there’s lots of streaks across the glass. Hazy dark yellow hue falls short of amber, extremely large and active bubbles fill the glass while doing little once they break the surface. Fresh nose of orange peel, apricot fuzz, rock salt and resin/tar notes, it takes awhile for the damp leafiness to begin to register, smells a bit like the illicit stuff which tends to overpower more delicate floral nuances. Medium-bodied and the dryness sucks out sufficient moisture that the inherent creaminess is short lived. Never gets full-on bitter, likewise never lets loose juicy tropicality. The pink grapefruit, tangerine, lime citrus restrained and any mango, papaya flavors folded back into more straight-up apricot and peach. More baking dough than bread and cleaner here without much dankness. Finishes with pine cone, lemongrass to basil notes. Good drinkability, a bit monochrome and you kind of wish it had that one signature element. Yet, could easily throw back 2-3 cans without thinking too much about it.

Picked this up at Other Half a few months ago and finally got around to it tonight, as my Yankees attempt to tie up the ALCS. I'm usually not that crazy over Other Half's single-hop offerings but this one grew on me as it warmed up as it was quite juicy and full of fruit from start to finish. Not overly dank or strong, this almost felt like pure juice as it went down just as easily as something that I'd pick up at the supermarket!

Good pour to this as it was on par with the Other Half beers that I've had in recent months. Hazy, dank and peach in hue, this had plenty of murkiness to it without being totally dank. A sufficient head topped this off without anything excessive as the lacing left behind was soapy and quite extensive along the back of my Teku glass. Plenty of tea, grass, pineapple, and passion fruit juice in the nose with all of those being present in the taste as well. A graininess took hold in the mouthfeel as stone fruit dankness ended up emerging in the aroma as this armed up. Herbal, grassy, and woody, this was quite heavy to the taste as the mouthfeel was a bit more lighthearted and balanced. Neutral, bready malt and a light amount of carbonation let this shine without being overly bright or loud, as the balanced and nuanced mouthfeel was allowed to fully shine through throughout my session.

Not a lot of booze here, which was a good thing given everything else that was going on here. While not among Other Half's best offerings, I enjoyed this and how natural it felt. Those looking for a full beer with enough to offer in unexpected notes will be pleased with this. Another solid brew from a brewery that cranks out one of those after another - this one fit right in line with their other offerings!

16oz. can into a Heady Topper stemless snifter.

Not even a head this time. Nose is bread, citrus, grass and tea. Mellow. Beer opens with hints of tea, pine, bark, citrus and pineapple. A happy medium between the typical NE IPA and something with a little more bitterness. Body is light with ample carbonation. Aggressive and prickly on the tongue and goes down crisp and dry.

Solid but I'm not crazy about this hop profile.

Pours burnt orange with big two finger white head. Aroma of bitter hops. Taste of Pine needles, earthy tones, resin and a dank finish. Really tasty IPA. Big fan of other half.
