Picked up a growler from Whole Foods Bowery in NYC.
Served in a stemless wineglass.
Half finger of sudsy pale white head. Golden body, mostly clear with a touch of cloudiness. 4.5
Tropical nose has hints of pineapple, vanilla, piney and dank hops, and sweet malt. 4.25
Taste starts sweet and malty, then becomes all types of fruity. Juicy pineapple, dank and resinous hop spice, and a touch of tart fruitiness on the finish. With warmth this becomes more mango-like and maybe passionfruit or perhaps even lychee-like (as supposedly this was added to the brew). 4.25
This beer drinks fairly light and refreshing. The malt presence is there and the hop spice shows, but it's also juicy and easy-drinking. The carbonation accentuates the flavors and doesn't dominate. 4.25
Delicious brew that shows the Other Half consistency. Their IPAs are reliably great.
