Poured from a growler filled at the brewery.
Pours a cloudy golden orange color with a 1 finger pure white head. Nice retention and lacing. A little bit of sediment floating around.
The aroma brings lots of lemon zest and some pine. I also get a bit of peppery spice on the back end.
The flavor follows the nose, with a good amount of lemony citrus up front, followed by some grass and pine. The malt is bready and a touch spicy, and subtly holds up the other flavors.
The mouth is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. The finish is very dry and bitter.
Overall, a very good DIPA. The motueka hops compliment the mosaic very nicely to create a beer that is neither too bitter nor too sweet. Good balance.
