Pale malt, light straw on the nose. A bit of dry hop cone (Galaxy, mosaic). That hop note carries over more to the tongue than I'd expect, and it does ultimately end up as more of a hop-forward kolsch. Not traditional, but not bad. Comes off as more of a session IPA though.

Murky, deep yellow orange color with low carbonation. Lager-like, lightly citrus and floral hops, earthy malts. Has a tropical nose.

Overall a nice hoppy lager. Not like their IPA's but a good beer for sure.

Draft at The Ginger Man.
I'm really starting to like Kolsch lately and the addiction of lime leaves in combination with galaxy gives a nice twist to the style. incredibly drinkable and tasty.

16 oz can poured into an Other Half pint glass. Canned April 2016.

A - orange-yellow color. super hazy hue. Bubbly cask-like foam, lacing similar to cask ales.

S - grapefruit, citrus, tropical/earthy notes. slight banana notes from the yeast. Not very aromatic, really have to dig your nose in the glass after some swirling.

T - bitter grapefruit, slight yeast taste. no hint of maltiness. Hops are very good for the style. German yeast lingers on the tongue after a while.

F - watery taste and feel. Extremely light and drankable. Hops and yeast linger on tongue as well as other parts of the mouth.

A- Hazy, turbid orange juice like appearance. One finger head with that leaves nice lacing.
S- Leafy, and limes. Unlike any beer aroma I've come across.
T- Wow... Very unique. It's like a hoppy lime. Kind of has some grassy and minty undertones.
M- Light body and medium carbonation. Slightly drying.
D- This was one crazy good beer. Emphasis on crazy... I really really enjoyed it! Grab it if you are looking for something different.

16 oz can. Pours cloudy grey oath yellow, two finger white head fades leaving bubbly lace. Mild citrus peel aroma. Taste is light cracker malt with zesty citrusy lemon lime presence, but the lime is subtle, not overpowering. Dry citrusy finish, medium silky soft mouthfeel. For a Kolsch this one is very good, enjoyed it.

Very cloudy with a nice head. Smells of limes. The taste is of kolschy malts with limes. Tastes cocktailish. Overall quite nice. Wish we had the warm weather this beer is screaming for.

From can. Pale and super cloudy. Decent head and lacing. Hop nose is on point. A collage of melon and grapefruit. Just fantastic. Classic kolsch malt. Hips are fruity and a touch dank. Nice feel. Great kolsch.

Pours a hazy golden color with a thick white head that dissipates a bit but lingers nicely throughout. Smell is thick with galaxy hops. Taste reflects the same with a tangy/citrusy lime flavor to back up the galaxy flavor. Feel is bright with nice carbonation to compliment the sharp citrusy flavor. Just a perfect pairing for a Kolsch. I think people forget this is a Kolsch and not an IPA when they are rating this. As a hoppy Kolsch, it is exceptional

Yet another beer that I picked up from Other Half, along with the City Slickers - this one having "Yas Queen" stamped on the bottom of the can along with a date of 4/20. I'm not a huge fan of Kolsch beers and even though this wasn't a typical one, it was so easy to enjoy given the ease of flavors and the low alcoholic content. It just took a bit of time to adjust to something as different as this!

Boy, if a beer ever had a cloudy look to it, it would be this. On par with the Hefeweizen and with a full head, this seemed a lot murkier than any other Kolsch I ever had. Pale, frothy, and thin, there wasn't a lot of lacing left behind once I took a sip of this. Lime. Melon. Rind. Lime. Kolsch hops. Galaxy. Lime. Citrus. Dry cheese. Oh, did I say lime? They're all here and in wonderful harmony. Tangy, a bit chalky, and full of citrus, this beer was made to be sipped slowly. Yes, even for a session brew! Better than a mojito or a margarita, this beer is the end result of what happens when you cross a Kolsch with an IPA and make it dank; with just a hint of 420 thrown in for good measure. So much juice throughout and tang in the back that this went down as smooth as can be given the differential nature of this.

So easy to enjoy given the alcoholic content of this but the tang of the lime ensured that this wouldn't go down too quickly. Faint grape flavor to this which is what tended to stick out to me when it came to other Kolsch beers that I had as the floral hops and subtle dankness emerged as this warmed up. A fun beer that was as good as any session brew that I've ever had, though the lime was just a bit too overpowering. Can't say I've had a collaboration quite like this one!

Not sure what exactly makes this a Kolsch - Kolsch yeast perhaps? I'd have a hard time picking it as the style if I had to guess. A cool beer though, one that I ultimately enjoyed. Sort of a pale, ugly yellow body, very much turbid and opaque, minimal head or lacing.

Aroma is lime, the white wine aromatics of the hallertau blanc, and the more tropical notes of the galaxy. Flavor follows apace; assertive kaffir lime at the start, but then layers of hop flavor, that winey note paired nicely with galaxy, a vague citrus tartness, light aspirin bitterness in the finish, which has moderate length (but quite dry). Maybe it's just an association but I am reminded of southeast Asian cuisine, lemongrass, spiciness (but not heat).

Medium body and carbonation, a little less spritzy than one might expect and that aids drinkability.

This beer really grew on me during the course of the can. Likely not your go-to but a tasty and eye-opening change of pace.

Poured from a 16oz can into a tulip glass:

Appearance: bright, hazy yellow color, with a super stiff head. Tons and tons of lacing, and the head sticks around till the beer is gone. Lots of little bubbles sticking to the inside of the glass.

Aroma: kind of a disappointment here, with the only real character coming through is some bitter hops, and a touch of lime. It's nice, but pretty subdued.

Taste: starts with a lot of lemony citrus and a touch of white grape. Finishes with a considerable amount of bitterness, and some earthy notes. I would've liked this to finish softer with less bitterness, but it was still pretty good.

Feel: crisp, clean, and refreshing. Moderate to high carbonation with a somewhat sticky mouthfeel on the lips and palate.

Overall: it's a very good beer, especially at 4.8%, though perhaps a little pricy at $16 for the four pack. One of the better looking beers I've drunk this week for sure.

Pours a cloudy lemonade color with a small white head. Leaves some ok lacing around the glass.

The aroma has lots of lime and freshly mowed grass.

The taste has a good amount of lime up front, with lots of bitter hops on the back end. Slightly floral.

The feel is light bodied with decent carbonation. Very crisp and refreshing. Slightly dry finish.

Overall, a solid, easily drinkable beer.

12oz draft from Other Half. Nice cloudy pale color. Light nose couldn't smell much and it didn't last long enough to try. Taste of white wine and mojito-like lime. Medium body. Very crushable. A fantastic beer for the warmer weather. Would love to see this be more than a one off collab.
