Dream In Green
Other Half Brewing Co.
IPA - New England / Hazy
Excellent hop combo, with lychee, dried oranges, tangy tropical fruits and a hint of wet grass. The oats and milk sugar gives a very cream and silky edge. The balance of these two worlds creates a really fun NEIPA.

Milky, yellow color. Thin, white head. Juicy aroma of pineapple, mango, orange, and other tropical fruits. Juicy bitterness in taste with soft maltiness in the background. Super-drinkable and hoppy.

Standard haze. Nice fresh citrusy aroma with a touch of dank. Primarily sweet orange on the palate. Lactose adds interesting overlay, but maybe obscures hop character. Usual pillowy texture that seems to tee up hop flavors.

Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy yellow color ale with a medium white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones and some light tropical notes. Taste is also a good mix of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones notes, some nice tropical notes and some mangonotes with a semi-dry finale. Body is full for style with creamy texture with good carbonation. Nice NEIPA with nice tropical undertones and some dank hops notes.

16oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours a hazy pale orange color with a one-finger creamy white head that reduces to a ring
S- the hop description on the can is spot on; opens with some zesty citrus fruit, immediately followed by lychee and papaya. More citrus zest on the tail end with a hint of ripe cantaloupe
T- opening flavors is pure bright lychee fruit, which smoothy transition right into a zesty citrus note mid-palate. The finish brings out sweet berry notes, followed by papaya & pineapple. The finish gives citrus zest and pine with a clean fruity linger
M- medium body with medium carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns slightly creamy into the finish
O- love the hop combo here, the lychee and citrus provide a fresh clean fruity flavor, while the ripe fruity sweetness on the finish brings out a nice balance overall.

Typical pale, lightly bruised peach flesh color on an opaque body. Head is fair. Nose is muted, but tropical fruit skin with a hint of pine. Feel is fairly smooth, medium-plus heft and thickness. Little citrus peel in a balanced opening (bitter vs sweet), with some oat cutting into vague unripe tropical fruit flavors. Nothing is wrong with this beer, but there’s not much definitive or uniquely interesting about it, either.

A thanks to the creator of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a hazy bright golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits. Taste is oranges, grapefruit, a hint of lychee. Feels full bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

My favorite part of these Other Half IPAs is the color: cloudy opaque bright yellow with a flash of a white head that lasts a bit on the rim in addition to some splotches on the top. Nice, juicy but not too citrusy. Nice cantaloupe melon rind thing going on here, I've heard "blueberry" thrown as an adjective for this type of flavor profile, imo it fits in a vegetal blueberry sense. It's fairly standard for an excellent Other Half IPA. The citrus comes in a little later in a rather somewhat juicy orange juice capacity with some citrus peel. The description lists lychee which I'm definitely getting a bit of, as well as papaya which is here but not as crazy prominent as I've experienced in some other OH beers. There is some malty notes when you look for them, notably from the oats, though it's not too sweet from the oats nor from the milk sugar. Another solid OH IPA.
