Just not what this style should be in my opinion.

not getting the pineapple or coconuts but it IS a very refreshing beer!!! not sur of the place lactose reserves, especially as the oats can help in that regard, but tis IS a VERY NICE BREW!!! at only 4.8% i can see the lack of popularity but this is GOOD!!!!

I'm not a huge fan of this style of beer and although this wasn't bad, having this proved to me why I only drink one of these in a session. Sure, it's light, easy to drink, and true to form but this just wasn't my cup of tea but for those who like a good Kolsch, they may pleasantly surprised by the outcome of this unique offering.
Canned on 4/28, this had "PASTELLASKAR" written above it which seemed somewhat cryptic. Off-golden with a loud and foamy head that quickly settled, this didn't leave behind much lacing at all. Lots of oats and lactose in this, almost making seem like something I'd have for breakfast or dessert. This fell into neither of those categories as the coconut and pineapple gave this a Hawaiian feel but without any papaya or stone fruit to smooth things out. Full and somewhat heavy, this was not light as other versions of this style that I've had before and the carbonation in the head was not as prevalent in the taste as I would have liked.
Thankfully, the alcohol was light as it allowed me to have another beer right after this. Dank and murky, this needed more white grape flavor and bubbles to keep it light. I love Other Half but this was one of their brews that missed the mark for me. Glad I had it once but next time, I'd grab a handful of actual swedish fish to liven things up...

Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch white head over a slightly hazy light golden body with scant lacing. Nose of coconut and lots of pineapple. Flavors follow aromas with a bit of sourness coming near the finish. Very good feel for a Kolsch and overall I'm glad I got to try this!
